About
A local installer for Maidstone and mid-Kent.
Maidstone Security is a small local installation business covering Maidstone and mid-Kent. There is no call centre and no franchise badge, just someone who turns up, does the job properly and explains it. We are also qualified electricians, so wiring jobs stay in one visit.
What we do
Camera systems, video doorbells, floodlight cameras, smart sensors, Wi-Fi and mesh support, and monitoring set-up for homes and small businesses. We choose wireless, solar, wired PoE or 4G according to the building and the budget, not according to what is easiest to sell. Monitoring is supplied through an accredited partner, and we are not that partner ourselves.
How we work
- Survey first, quote second. A £49 survey, credited against the job if you go ahead, checks camera count, cable routes and Wi-Fi at the real camera position.
- Qualified electrician on every job. A new supply for a camera or floodlight is run by us, with no second contractor.
- Fixed prices. What we quote is what you pay, agreed before work starts.
- Privacy at the survey. Camera angles and doorbell audio are discussed against the guidance on our legislation page before anything goes on a wall.
- Safe sharing. Each family member gets their own app login rather than one shared password.
- Tidy finish. Packaging and offcuts leave with us.
- Pay how you like. Bank transfer, card or cash, with an invoice or receipt either way.
Where we stop
- Full monitored intruder alarms as the primary product are a specialist alarm company's work. We fit smart sensors and can connect you to a monitoring partner.
- Structural work or scaffolding beyond a standard ladder. We say so rather than improvise.
When a job is outside what we do, we tell you, do not charge for the visit, and point you to who to call.
What you will not get
- A salesman pushing sixteen cameras onto a three-bedroom semi.
- A quote that grows on the day.
- Claims of certificates or accreditations we do not hold.
Local knowledge
Maidstone mixes Medway-side Victorian terraces, 1930s semis, modern estates and ragstone villages. We have seen the Wi-Fi, fixing and angle problems each one throws up, and plan for them at survey. See where we work.
Three things you can hold us to
- Honest advice, fixed quotes after a credited £49 survey.
- 5% off for pensioners, no proof needed.
- 5% off for WhatsApp bookings.
Emergency same-day visit: £95. No fix, no fee applies to emergency call-outs too.
