Service
Floodlight cameras, wired in properly.
A floodlight camera combines a bright motion-triggered light with a camera, which makes it a strong deterrent over a drive, side passage or back door. We are qualified electricians, so the connection to the supply, the sealing of the mounting and the settings are all done in one visit by one contractor.

What is included
- Connection to an existing suitable outdoor light supply, or a new spur run by us
- Mounting sealed against the weather and fixed to suit the wall
- Motion sensitivity and light timing set for your property, not the factory default
- Aim checked so light does not spill into neighbouring windows
- App and alert set-up
- Old light removed and packaging taken away
Pricing
Fixed price confirmed after a £49 survey, credited against the job, or from clear photos for straightforward work. Bands reflect access, property type and how much set-up is involved.
| Service | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Security survey | £49 | Credited against the installation if you go ahead. |
| First wireless or solar camera | £119-£159 | |
| Each additional camera, same visit | £69-£99 |
A floodlight camera is priced as a camera position rather than a separate line: as a wireless-style fitting from an existing light circuit (rows above), or as a wired PoE camera position run from an NVR (see Wired PoE CCTV systems).
Drives, passages and cul-de-sacs
On the estates that ring Maidstone, a floodlight over the drive does most of the work: it lights the car, the front door and the side gate together. On older terraces the useful spot is usually the rear, where an alley or a yard wall gives cover.
Light spill matters in close-packed streets. We aim and shield the lamp so it lights your ground rather than the bedroom next door, which also keeps the arrangement on the right side of the ICO guidance in our legislation guide.
One contractor, start to finish
We are qualified electricians as well as installers. If a doorbell, floodlight or camera needs a new supply instead of an existing one, we run it ourselves in the same visit, with no second contractor.

Questions
Do I need an electrician to fit a floodlight camera?
The connection to the supply is electrical work. Because we are qualified electricians, there is no second contractor and no second visit.
Will a floodlight annoy my neighbours?
Not if it is aimed and timed properly. We keep the beam on your ground and set a short on-time.
