Why local matters
Brick, ragstone and a river valley.
Maidstone is a county town on the Medway with Victorian terraces by the river, 1930s semis, modern estates and Kentish ragstone cottages in the villages. Each behaves differently. Thick stone walls weaken Wi-Fi, soft old brick needs the right fixings, and a front door that opens straight on the pavement needs a tighter doorbell zone than a house set back on a drive.
We are also qualified electricians, so a wired doorbell, floodlight or new supply is done in one visit by one contractor. Read the UK CCTV and doorbell law guide →
Start with a survey, not a guess.
£49, credited if you go ahead. We count cameras, plan cable routes and check Wi-Fi at the real camera positions. If you already know what you want, we can often quote from photos instead.
Where we work
Four patches, one round.
Common questions
Five things people ask first.
Do you cover villages outside Maidstone itself?
Yes. The standard round takes in Bearsted, Boxley, Aylesford, Larkfield, Allington, Barming, Coxheath, Loose and the villages around them, roughly ME14 to ME17 and ME20. Places a little further out are fine on request, and any extra travel is shown in the quote.
Our house is an old stone cottage, does that change the job?
It changes the plan. Thick walls weaken Wi-Fi, so we measure the signal at each camera and may use a mesh node or a cabled camera. Fixings are chosen to suit stone and soft old brick.
Can you set up monitoring as well as fit the cameras?
Yes. Most jobs are supply, install and app set-up, with you checking footage yourself. If you want a person watching, we connect you to an accredited monitoring partner, priced on the pricing page. The monitoring itself is not run by us.
What if there is no broadband where the camera needs to go?
A 4G camera uses a mobile data SIM instead of Wi-Fi, which suits gates, outbuildings, land and temporary sites. The data plan is billed by the network, and we handle the hardware and set-up.
Do you fit alarms, or only cameras?
We fit smart door, window and motion sensors that alert your phone, and can link them to monitoring through our partner. A full intruder alarm with guard response as the main system is a specialist alarm company's job and we will say so.
Want a quote?
Send a few photos of where you want cameras and your postcode. We will come back with a fixed price and the next free date, or book a £49 survey if the job needs a look first.
