Service
Wireless cameras, fitted where they will actually work.
We fit and configure wireless cameras at homes and small businesses around Maidstone, from a single garden camera to a full four-camera set. Each position is checked for Wi-Fi strength first, then mounted, aimed, tested and shared to the household's phones. Fixed price after a £49 survey that is credited off the job.
What is included
- A walk round to pick positions that cover doors, side access and the garden, not the neighbour's windows
- Mounting on brick, render, ragstone, timber or uPVC with fixings chosen for the surface
- Base station set-up, pairing and a Wi-Fi reading taken at the camera, not in the hallway
- A mesh point recommended, and fitted if you agree, where the signal will not hold
- Household access set up properly, with each person on their own login
- Packaging and offcuts taken away

Wireless in a town built on stone and brick
Around Maidstone the building stock swings from Victorian brick terraces to Kentish ragstone cottages and 1990s estates, and each treats a wireless signal differently. Thick stone walls and older brick can swallow a 5 GHz signal before it reaches a side gate, so we test at the mounting point and choose between a mesh node, a different position or a cabled camera before anything is drilled.
Newer estates such as those in Allington, Park Wood and Grove Green tend to have good Wi-Fi inside and weak coverage at the end of a long rear garden. That is a ten-minute fix with the right node, and we set it up as part of the job rather than leaving you to troubleshoot it.
One contractor, start to finish
We are qualified electricians as well as installers. If a doorbell, floodlight or camera needs a new supply instead of an existing one, we run it ourselves in the same visit, with no second contractor.

Questions
Will wireless cameras work through thick walls?
Often, but not always. Solid stone and older brick weaken Wi-Fi, so we measure at the camera position and add a mesh node or choose another spot if the reading is poor.
Do wireless cameras need mains power?
Battery models do not, and need a recharge every few months depending on activity. Mains-powered models need a suitable supply, and as qualified electricians we can provide one if there is none nearby.
